CougarVIEW logon from campus: |
|
Launch your browser from the desktop (To launch your browser, click "Start", then click "Programs", then click "Internet Explorer). If you are working off campus, you will probably see a different home page. Be sure you have the complete browser software since this is a factor in allowing you to view CougarVIEW completely, especially your grades. | |
|
Click
on the link "Need instructions on how to log-in?" on the
CougarVIEW Log-in page. Be sure that your "user name"
is your last name, underscore, then your first name (all lower case).
Be sure to use your name as it appears on your CSU official record.
See examples below: |
|
Your "user name" is the same as your CSU username (the CougarNet portal can help you verify this information). If you continue to have problems, contact the Computer Center Help desk. |
|
Note: Often there are two student with the same name. In cases such as these, the Computer Center assigns a "1" or a "2" to keep these two student accounts separate. The Computer Center can assist you if you run into this problem. |

Your password (if you are logging in for the first time) is your birthday (ddmmyr). If that does not work, try your ISIS password, the same one you use for registering for your CSU classes in ISIS ( Please understand that since this is a secret password which you created, I am not able to help you with this step in the event that you can't remember your ISIS password). If you used CougarVIEW last semester and changed your password, it is still in effect. |
my CougarVIEW:
| my CougarVIEW is the place you will go to "access" your specific CougarVIEW courses | |
| In addition to computer science, you may be taking a biology or management course which is also being supplemented or delivered using CougarVIEW | |
| You should see CPSC 1105 - Technological Solutions; if not, please let me know right away | |
| Having all your CougarVIEW courses in one area called my CougarVIEW, makes logging on to your CougarVIEW courses easier |
Navigating:
| Use the Back or Home browser button | |
| Some screens in CougarVIEW utilize "breadcrumbs" to navigate between pages; these are at the top of the CougarVIEW screen below your browser navigation buttons |
Problems logging on to CougarVIEW: Check to be sure your "user name" corresponds to your name as it appears on your CSU official record. Be sure you are clicking the CougarVIEW link from the Columbus State University Home Page.
