bullet

Launch your browser from the desktop (To launch your browser, click "Start", then click "Programs", then click "Internet Explorer). If you are working off campus, you will probably see a different home page. Be sure you have the complete browser software since this is a factor in allowing you to view CougarVIEW completely, especially your grades.

bullet

Click on the link "Need instructions on how to log-in?" on the CougarVIEW Log-in page. Be sure that your  "user name" is your last name, underscore, then your first name (all lower case). Be sure to use your name as it appears on your CSU official record. See examples below:
To type the underscore symbol, hold the Shift key while you hit the hyphen key (the one to the right of the number 0).

bullet

Your  "user name" is the same as your CSU username (the CougarNet portal can help you verify this     information). If you continue to have problems, contact the Computer Center Help desk.

Note: Often there are two student with the same name. In cases such as these, the Computer Center assigns a "1" or a "2" to keep these two student accounts separate. The Computer Center can assist you if you run into this problem.

Your password (if you are logging in for the first time) is  your birthday (ddmmyr). If that does not work, try your ISIS password, the same one you use for registering for your CSU classes in  ISIS ( Please understand that since this is a secret password which you created, I am not able to help you with this step in the event that you can't remember your ISIS password). If you used CougarVIEW last semester and changed your password, it is still in effect.
